Les bact\u00e9ries productrices de butyrate ont \u00e9t\u00e9 associ\u00e9es \u00e0 une diminution des sympt\u00f4mes d\u00e9pressifs.&nbsp;<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Jusqu'\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent, la communication bidirectionnelle entre le microbiome intestinal et le cerveau a surtout \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9tudi\u00e9e dans des mod\u00e8les animaux, tandis que la recherche chez l'homme est rest\u00e9e \u00e0 la tra\u00eene. Le projet FLemish Gut Flora (n=1 054) de l'Universit\u00e9 de Louvain a \u00e9tudi\u00e9 la corr\u00e9lation entre la flore intestinale et la qualit\u00e9 de vie et les sympt\u00f4mes d\u00e9pressifs chez l'h\u00f4te. Les r\u00e9sultats ont \u00e9t\u00e9 publi\u00e9s dans&nbsp;<em>Nature Microbiology<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Dans cette \u00e9tude, la pr\u00e9sence de&nbsp;<em>Faecalibacterium<\/em>- et&nbsp;<em>Coprococcus<\/em>-Cette esp\u00e8ce est syst\u00e9matiquement associ\u00e9e \u00e0 une meilleure qualit\u00e9 de vie. Ces bact\u00e9ries produisent du butyrate (acide butyrique). Le manque de butyrate a d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9t\u00e9 associ\u00e9 \u00e0 la d\u00e9pression. Dans cette \u00e9tude, les&nbsp;<em>Coprococcus<\/em>-Le nombre d'esp\u00e8ces en d\u00e9pression a diminu\u00e9, m\u00eame si les effets confondants des antid\u00e9presseurs ont \u00e9t\u00e9 pris en compte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<br>L'analyse a mis en \u00e9vidence la capacit\u00e9 du m\u00e9tabolite de la dopamine, l'acide 3,4-dihydroxyph\u00e9nylac\u00e9tique, \u00e0 \u00e9tablir une corr\u00e9lation positive avec la qualit\u00e9 de vie mentale et a soulign\u00e9 le r\u00f4le potentiel du GABA (acide gamma-aminobutyrique). Les scientifiques indiquent que les r\u00e9sultats de cette \u00e9tude - men\u00e9e au niveau de la population humaine - prouvent que notre microbiome est li\u00e9 \u00e0 la sant\u00e9 mentale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>R\u00f4le des aliments anti et pro-inflammatoires&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Une autre m\u00e9ta-analyse \u00e0 grande \u00e9chelle r\u00e9v\u00e8le l'association entre l'alimentation et les sentiments d\u00e9pressifs : les personnes ayant des habitudes alimentaires pro-inflammatoires sont 40% plus susceptibles de d\u00e9velopper une d\u00e9pression, par rapport \u00e0 celles ayant des habitudes alimentaires anti-inflammatoires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<br>Les aliments pro-inflammatoires sont riches en glucose et en acides gras satur\u00e9s, qui peuvent activer le syst\u00e8me immunitaire et provoquer une inflammation de bas niveau, entra\u00eenant notamment la d\u00e9pression.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<br>Un r\u00e9gime m\u00e9diterran\u00e9en riche en fibres, en acides gras insatur\u00e9s, en vitamines et en min\u00e9raux, entre autres, est en fait anti-inflammatoire. Les fibres constituent une source de nourriture importante pour les bact\u00e9ries du c\u00f4lon, qui les transforment en acide butyrique.
